On Time, Every Time
We commit to a date. We hit it. That is the baseline, not a nice-to-have.
UD Manufacturing is an engineer-run CNC facility in central Arkansas. We machine precision parts for high performance companies who need a supplier that takes quality as seriously as they do.
Brothers John and William are engineers by training and machinists by passion. About ten years ago, William acquired a manual machine and converted it to CNC to expand his skillset, learning the craft hands-on and in depth, one part at a time.
In 2021, John started machining on a single CNC machine in a small shop of his own. Soon after, he left his 9-to-5 manufacturing management job to join forces with William, and together they formed what UD Manufacturing is today.
Both are degreed, licensed engineers who had spent years on the other side of the table, specifying parts, writing tolerances, and dealing with suppliers. They knew what a good machine shop looked like because they had needed one. Today UDM stays focused and hands-on. It is how we keep quality high, response times fast, and our customer relationships personal.
Owners John and William both hold engineering degrees, professional licensure, and years of prior industry experience at Fortune 500 companies, including a major automotive OEM and a global leader in oil and gas, before founding UDM. That perspective changes how we talk to customers. We read prints the way you do, ask the questions you want asked, and flag issues before they become problems.
We commit to a date. We hit it. That is the baseline, not a nice-to-have.
Parts match drawings. Inspection records back it up. FAIRs on request.
When a drawing has an issue, we flag it and help solve it. We don't make it your problem.
Small team, short chain of command. You get answers fast from people who can give them.
Our strategy is relationship-based service. A first run for a new customer often becomes a decade-long program.
We think about your part the way you do. That is our unfair advantage.
That is not a marketing line. It is what we sat down and wrote on the whiteboard before we took our first order. Five years later it is still what we show up for every day.
Send us your drawings or set up a call. We would like to learn about your program.
